Cezara-Ioana Tubucanu is a Romanian-Moldovan actor and fashion model working between London, Paris, and Bucharest, raised in the UAE, with experience in Los Angeles, New York, and Milan.

Working across film and theatre, her practice moves between cinema and fashion, shaped by movement, voice, and writing, and extending into directing.

She began her training at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts, continuing at University of the West of England, Bristol focusing on Avant-Gardism, followed by a masters at Rose Bruford College of Theatre and Performance, and is currently focusing on Acting for film at Cours Florent, Paris.

Her approach is image-led and instinctive, informed by a background in music, movement, and text, guided by presence, rhythm, and atmosphere, drawing from traditions of art-house and independent cinema, with influences spanning Samuel Beckett, Jim Jarmusch, and Gaspar Noé.

She works across languages.

‘I am drawn to raw, character-driven stories rooted in European youth culture and psychological realism. I’m particularly interested in roles where the camera observes rather than explains.’
